The Stables, Dunlop

Jonas & Aileen Cedervall's dream was to have a family home in rural Ayrshire with a traditional Scottish feel.

Barn Conversion

The canvas for this project was a plot of former farmland on the outskirts of Dunlop, with an existing barn structure that would be used as the basis for the build.

QBuild worked closely with the Cedervall's, ensuring that their needs were understood and carried through into every detail of the build. It was particularly important to them that we utilised traditional materials, blending them with a mix of modern technologies to provide the ultimate in comfort.

Sustainable Design

For the Cedarvall family it was important that the house was built with an eco-friendly heating & hot water system, not reliant on a connection to the mains gas system. To this end we installed a Biomass Pellet Boiler that is fuelled by wood in the form of pellets.

We are so glad that we chose QBuild to build our new house. They gave us a combination of professionalism, quality, value for money and friendliness. They really took our project to heart, researching all sorts of ideas and solutions for us. We are delighted with our new house: the quality of build, fit and finish is exemplary
