Built on the site of an old farm, Corriecravie is a central Arran property that enjoys spectacular views of the sea, even though it's not on the coast. The house is a timber kit structure with external render walls, constructed to be robust and withstand the elements, as it's exposed to the wild weather conditions of the Scottish west coast.
The construction of Corriecravie is a testament to the precision and skill of its builders. The house features a range of unique materials and techniques, including precast curved concrete stairs, Haldane curved balustrades, Rationel windows, and a slate roof. The house also has a stunning glass walkway, made by Independent Glass, that leads to the upper floor. The curtain walling is a senior aluminium system, while the glass balustrade is a Q railing design.

Corriecravie is a family-owned property, passed down from the previous generation, and its design and construction reflect the family's love for the island and their desire to create a home that blends into the surrounding landscape. The new house was designed with features that the old house had as a nod to that history, including the very distinct glass bow windows which is a definite feature of this house.
